Test Performed on Lake WaterChemical analysis of Lake Brownwood is performed on monthly bases by our own lab technician from fifteen different locations around the lake. This assures the Water District there is no unnatural contamination in the raw water. Test performed include the following:
Test Performed on Treated WaterThe EPA requires treated water to be tested for 193 chemicals. The Texas Department of Health and LCRA performs the tests. Of the 193 tests performed there were no results equal to or greater than the Maximum Contaminant Level Goal (MCLG) or Maximum Contaminate Level (MCL). The treated water produced by Brown County Water Improvement District No. 1 is in compliance with the National Primary Drinking Water Regulations (NPDWR) and exceeds all requirements in the "DRINKING WATER STANDARDS GOVERNING DRINKING WATER QUALITY AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS" 30 TAC 290.101-290.122 effective under Texas Water Code 5.103.
