Irrigation Department
Lake Brownwood supplies all the water for the irrigation in the district. There is approximately 5,000 acres that can be watered. The crops that are watered consist of orchards, grasses, grains, and tanks. Most of the irrigation is done by flooding, some is done by a drip system, and others by pivot systems. The water district has been very fortunate to have an abundant supply of water that has serviced our customers for 60 years.
